Tri-Cities Housing Market 25th in U.S.
February 27th, 2009 4:04 PM

Tri-Cities home appreciation ranked 25th in U.S.

The Tri-Cities was ranked 25th in the country for housing price appreciation in the Federal Housing Finance Agency’s fourth quarter 2008 report.

Tri-Cities home prices reportedly showed a 1.73 percent appreciation rate from the third quarter of 2008 to the fourth, and a 2.3 percent growth when comparing fourth quarter 2008 to the same time in 2007, according to the FHFA.

That includes both home purchases and refinancing.

U.S. housing prices, including purchases and refinances, declined 0.2 percent in the fourth quarter, and 4.5 percent from the year prior, according to FHFA.

Tri-Citians toast Habitat for Humanity and share Valentine's Day with Strangers
February 16th, 2009 2:55 PM
Over 100 Tri-Citians came out to support the Habitat for Humanity.  Two buses filled to capacity left at 10:00 am this Saturday to take in the Yakima Valley Wine & Chocolate festival and raise funds for Habitat for Humanity.  Organizers at AmeriChoice Home Loans were thrilled with the support.  We would have been happy to fill one bus...the support was overwhelming.

Habitat for Humanity helps families by creating affordable housing opportunities.  Better housing means better lives.  AmeriChoice Home Loans has been helping local families with a similar mission since 2002.  We were proud to be a part of this great event.  The next tour is June 6, 2009.  Tickets are on sale now for that event.  Contact the team at AmeriChoice Home Loans at 509.735.6603 to reserve your seat.  Tickets cost $50.00.  Profits will again go to support Habitat for Humanity.
